A beautiful holiday park located right in the heart of the
High Coast World Heritage Site.
We´ll start the summer season 2026, with cabin rentals, camping and activities, on the 8th of May. The season runs until the 11th of September. After that the place will open up again between the 28th of September until the 4th of October.
You are welcome to book the Annex house with two smaller, self sufficient apartments all year round.
Bookings can be done anytime, by email och phone. During april, we´ll also open up our online booking service.
General information
Lappuddens Friluftscenter is a majestically located holiday park in the coastal parish of Nordingrå, Kramfors Municipality, Ångermanland, northern Sweden. Lappudden is between the towns of Härnösand and Örnsköldsvik and can be easily reached from the E4 highway. Turn off at Gallsäter when approaching from the south and follow the road to Nordingrå for about 10 kilometres.
Lappudden has a long and rich history as an ancient Sami settlement and traditional northern Swedish farm. It is situated in beautiful surroundings on a peninsula in Lake Vågsfjärden, surrounded by water, forested islands, high mountains and deep valleys.
Lappudden is a peaceful, genuine place with fantastic outdoor activities right on its doorstep. It’s the ideal spot for those who love outdoor life and perfect as a base for hikes and outings in the whole High Coast region. It is a much-appreciated stop along the High Coast Trail and is also very close to the World Heritage Trail, Nordingrå’s new, local trail.
It is suitable for both large and small groups and offers accommodation along with a breakfast buffet, lunches/packed lunches and dinners. All our food is prepared on site with great care and to the greatest extent possible, local and northern Swedish ingredients are used.
Cabins, rooms and camping facilities
We rent out cosy cabins and hostel-standard rooms as well as sites for tents, caravans and campervans. Cabins and camping sites have access to shared toilet and shower blocks and kitchens. The house named “The Annex” is spacious and has its own toilets and showers.
Full board with hiking
For many years now, Lappuddens Friluftscenter has organised popular and practical hiking packages in the High Coast World Heritage Site. Our full board packages include accommodation, all meals and transport, which leaves you free to discover the High Coast’s amazing natural wonders without having to carry heavy loads. Our packages give you the best hiking that will show you the highlights of the High Coast and you will be provided with delicious, well-cooked meals and personal service during your entire visit. We work together with other companies in Nordingrå and can also offer combination packages with our partners located close by. All packages need to be booked in advance.
Hiking Packages
Our hiking packages see you go on unguided hikes along the High Coast Trail and the World Heritage Trail through undulating, breath-taking scenery formed by the last ice age thousands of years ago. After each day’s hike, a delicious dinner awaits you along with comfortable accommodation at cosy Lappuddens Friluftscenter or one of our partner companies. When hiking, you only need to carry a daypack with the packed lunch we supply for you. We transport your baggage to your accommodation each day. Maps and trail descriptions are included.
“World Heritage Tour” (2 days/2 nights)
Day 1
Your tour starts with a car transfer from Lappudden to the start of your day’s hike. Lunch and snacks are provided. From here you will go on an unguided 20 km hike through undulating and very beautiful scenery along the southern part of the High Coast Trail. Once you have reached the goal for the day, you will be transferred back to Lappudden where a two-course meal, wood-fired sauna and accommodation in your cosy cabin await.
Day 2:
Breakfast buffet. Your day starts with a car transfer from Lappudden to the start of your day’s hike. Lunch and snacks are provided. From here you will go on an unguided 15 km hike along a relatively easy section of the southern part of the High Coast Trail. You will hike all the way back to Lappudden and there is an optional side trail that will take you up to a magnificent viewpoint high above sea level.
At the end of the day, a two-course meal, wood-fired sauna and accommodation in your cosy cabin await.
Day 3:

“World Heritage Tour” (3 days/2 nights)
Day 1:
Your tour starts with a car transfer from Lappudden to the start of your day’s hike. Lunch and snacks are provided. From here you will go on an unguided 20 km hike through undulating and very beautiful scenery along the southern part of the High Coast Trail. Once you have reached the goal for the day, you will be transferred back to Lappudden where a two-course meal, wood-fired sauna and accommodation in your cosy cabin await. Bed linen, towels and cleaning after departure are all included.
Day 2:
Breakfast buffet. Your day starts with a car transfer from Lappudden to the start of your day’s hike. Lunch and snacks are provided. From here you will go on an unguided 15 km hike along a relatively easy section of the southern part of the High Coast Trail. You will hike all the way back to Lappudden and there is an optional side trail that will take you up to a magnificent viewpoint high above sea level.
At the end of the day, a two-course meal, wood-fired sauna and accommodation in your cosy cabin await.
Day 3:
Breakfast buffet. Your day starts with a car transfer to the start of today’s hike along the coast on the local trail “World Heritage Trail”. The trail today is relatively flat and covers 15 km. You start at Nordingrå’s best-known nature reserve and along the way you will experience some of the area’s many traditional fishing settlements, some of which date back to the late middle ages.
Once you have reached your goal for the day, you will be transferred back to Lappudden where a two-course meal, wood-fired sauna and accommodation in your cosy cabin await.
Day 4

“World Heritage Tour” (4 days/5 nights)
Day 1- Arrival day
Check into your cosy cabin from 2pm at Lappuddens Friluftscenter. Bed linen, towels and cleaning after departure are all included. Please note that dinner on the day of arrival is not included, but it can be added to the package if requested.
Day 2:
Breakfast buffet. Your day starts with a car transfer from Lappudden to the start of your day’s hike. Lunch and snacks are provided. From here you will go on an unguided 20 km hike through undulating and very beautiful scenery along the southern part of the High Coast Trail. Once you have reached the goal for the day, you will be transferred back to Lappudden where a two-course meal, wood-fired sauna and accommodation in your cosy cabin await.
Day 3:
Breakfast buffet. Your day starts with a car transfer from Lappudden to the start of your day’s hike. Lunch and snacks are provided. From here you will go on an unguided 15 km hike along a relatively easy section of the southern part of the High Coast Trail. You will hike all the way back to Lappudden and there is an optional side trail that will take you up to a magnificent viewpoint high above sea level.

Day 4:
Breakfast buffet. Your day starts with a car transfer to the start of today’s hike along the coast on the local trail “World Heritage Trail”. The trail today is relatively flat and covers 15 km. You start at Nordingrå’s best-known nature reserve and along the way you will experience some of the area's many traditional fishing settlements, some of which date back to the late middle ages.
Once you have reached your destination for the day you can visit the fishing settlement’s picturesque café located in one of the old boat sheds (open during the summer months). We will then transfer you back to Lappudden where a two-course meal, wood-fired sauna and accommodation in your cosy cabin await.
Day 5:
Breakfast buffet and transfer to the start of today’s hike. You will spend another day hiking one of the World Heritage Trail’s beautiful sections. You start where you finished yesterday and walk along beautiful trails from the fishing settlement by the sea through the lovely Nordingrå countryside. There are side trails that will take you up to panoramic viewpoints along the way if you choose to take them. Once you have reached your goal for the day, you will be transferred back to Lappudden where a two-course meal, wood-fired sauna and accommodation in your cosy cabin await.
Day 6
Breakfast buffet.

We are open daily during the summer months, June – August. We recommend that accommodation and activities are always pre-booked to avoid disappointment. Full board packages must be booked well in advance.
